<p>Is the School Report your counselor submits the same thing as a Counselor Recommendation? On CommonApp under "View College Details" it says nothing about needing a counselor rec., but on the PennPortal it says that it hasn't received/processed my counselor recommendation.</p>

<p>Yeah for me it also says they received my Secondary School Report and Transcript but not Counselor’s Recommendation.</p>

<p>I called admissions a couple of days ago about the same issue with counselor recommendations. They emailed me back saying not to worry and to just be patient, as, and i quote, </p>
<p>"Please be patient with us – we’re in the process of uploading all of the documents into our online system. So, just be patient, check back every couple of days, and if we really didn’t get the documents, we’ll be in touch with you and ask you to resend. This will not put your application in jeopardy!</p>

<p>So I’m guessing we’re all fine.</p>
<p>Okay, thank you, that puts my mind at ease. I would have been ****ed if one little thing ruined my whole ED application!</p>
<p>We checked my son’s common app and it does not list “Counselor Recommendation.” The Common App does list ED Agreement - Counselor component and School Report as being downloaded. There is nothing listed as Counselor Recommendation. We tried to resend but the resend button won’t do anything. Any suggestions? He will talk to his counselor tomorrow.</p>
<p>I looked over the Common App again and downloaded a PDF version of the School Report. The very end asks the counselor to evaluate the student with a written statement, so I’m 99% sure this is the same as the Counselor Rec on Penn’s Portal. I think you’re safe, and if something IS missing, Penn will most likely notify you and ask you to resend it.</p>
<p>I checked with my counselor yesterday, and the school report IS the counselor recommendation on the common app.</p>
