Is it okay to get a former counselor to write my student report? I switched schools this year, but I have known her for the past three years well. Or am I forced to ask the counselor at my new school to write one?

Good question! Let’s see who knows the answer and responds to you. But otherwise, it can’t hurt to call one of the colleges you are applying to and ask them. It is a very legitimate question and one that I am positive other students have asked before.

I shall do that! Thank you ^_^

I doubt your former counselor will agree to do this and it isn’t a good plan. The forms the counselor fills out require a good deal of current information about your school - information to which the form counselor no longer has access (such as the actual highest GPA of any student in your grade). You could invite him or her as an ‘other recommender’ if that type of rec is allowed by your colleges.

Ahhh that makes sense-thanks!
