Counselor Recommendations

All of the information I needed on my application are finally all their except for the guidance counselor rec. Is it supposed to be on my status or does admissions just get it?

Sent from my ADR6325 using CC App

I’m not really sure how much admissions weighs that, to be honest. I had my counsler quickly write a otter of recommendation (She didn’t use the form on their site) and print it and give it to me. It was really, really boring writen, but I just sent it anyway.

Did I miss something? I didn’t get any recs for UCF (or any college) at all lol

^^^ same here. Recs are not necessary.

My counsler literally wrote, ‘Caitlin is an individual who strives to better herself. He is heavily involved in music…’
Um…I’m pretty sure I’m a girl. I just figured she got my twin brother and I mixed up. I wouldn’t even bother sending any, I highly doubt they actually read them.

Yeah I didn’t think so either… I didn’t ask for one but my counselor said she would write me one because she knows them. I just didn’t know if it would show up or not though. She sent it before I even applied so that could be why.

I’m positive there would be no indicator on myucf saying “We have received your letter of recommendation…” lol

The counselor recommendation is optional. If your counselor wants to complete one, there is an online form they can fill out that gets sent directly to admissions. Also, there is no indication of recommendation letters being received on your myUCF.

To be honest, I wouldn’t worry about it. I feel like the only writing they’ll read is your essay, and maybe a proof of community service, signed by who you completed it for. You’re fine:)
I wish you the best of luck! I’m sure you’ll have no issue getting accepted:)

I just realized…too many smiley faces in my post, lol.

Lol yeah… I feel dumb for asking now. I’m a little naive. Thanks write! And no, that was the perfect amount of smileys haha

You’re not naive! We’re all new to this, don’t worry:)
