Ok, well, I'm only sending my ACT score to schools because my SAT IIs were atrocious. I'm talking 610 on Math II bad. I asked him and he said no, he could not remove them. I asked why and he said that schools will be able to see my SAT IIs if they wanted to. I don't believe him, he probably can remove them. What should I do?

There's nothing atrocious about a 610 in Math Level II. You should send ALL your score reports to colleges anyhow. Retaking it and showing improvement might even be more beneficial.

I'm pretty sure below 50th percentile is indeed atrocious. I have no time for retakes, I'm a senior.

Did you say collegeboard could report your scores to your school?

My counselor told me you have the right to your SAT scores, but you waive that right if you sent the scores to your school.

I got a 590 on Math II, so I'm feeling you. But, we SHOULD give the school the benefit of the doubt because most say they will only look at your best scores.

i dont think u can if u arent in the class of 2010...the new policy comes into effect in march i think?

also, my school can only remove act scores--i think the sats have to all be on ur transcript

I did report them to my school, but not to the schools of my choice. I don't see why they can't just.. take them off.

They can take them off xSteven. The high school has no right to disseminate those scores without your permission. They are not the property of the high school. Contact TokenAdult about this -- you will be able to get the legal argument. This is why I always suggest that students don't have scores automatically sent anywhere. Better to pay extra and send them after you know that you're satisfied.
