everything was mailed from my school around 12/17. in the status, it shows everything except the counselor report form as received. am i worrying too much or is it missing?

i guess u gotta wait till their admission offices open and give them a call

Your MyMIT account should say that you should fax them in if they aren’t in by a certain date. I submitted EA, so I can’t look at mine and tell you what that is. On account of that little message from MIT, though, I don’t think you should worry. You can call them to check if you want, but I don’t think they’d be back until the 4th.

How do I send in my evaluation forms and secondary school reports? My school is too lazy to do anything!! School opens tomorrow.

^ Mail them of course (postal mailing). Or any way that can find, as long as they get all the materials before mid Jan.

They repeat it frequently, that it’s okay to have your school forms in later than the deadline (although obviously you shouldn’t aim for that). I guess they have plenty of applications to work with anyways, and so it’s really no harm to them and doesn’t reflect anything on your own part.

There is no need to send anything yet – odds are, your application materials are sitting at MIT in a pile, waiting patiently to be entered into the system and filed in your application folder.

At some point in the next few weeks, someone from the admissions office will post a blog entry saying they’re through all the mail. Until then, just sit tight and don’t worry.

shucks, still says “not processed”

Yeah. No worries. None of my evaluations/reports have been processed and they were sent in october/november.

^thanks i’m a bit relieved cuz in the application statuses for my other schools, my stuff is received, and everything was sent out in the same batch

MIT records office needs to step it up!! lol jk

There’s always the possibility of something getting misaddressed/lost in the mail.

it still doesn’t show up yet

what’s mit’s address?? the only place i can find it on the website is at the bottom and idk if i wrote it right

wait…but i had to have had the correct address cuz my teacher recs showed up

The address is, indeed, at the bottom of the admissions webpage, and there is no need to freak out about this.

Don’t even check the status until at least a week from now.

i have the same problem as you!
my teacher evaluations have arrived but the counselor report hasn’t.
i’m guessing we just have to wait a bit longer…

yay! mine has been received!
thanks for teh reassurance molllie =]

My ‘counselor’ had his mail returned. We’re not quite sure why since the address was correct, but we used FedEx.

It was returned nearly 3 months after the send date. I call shenanigans.

i would say, fax it. Maybe it was an error of fedex.

I have the exact opposite problem. My counselor sent in the forms today. and it says the secondary report has already been processed. I sent in my transcript via a different source, but should I see that BOTH my transcript and my secondary school report have been processed when only one of them has been received?

SOMEONE HELP!!! :O

Don’t worry too much about it. They accept scores from the January 23rd SAT which probably come in early February.
