Hey, when are the Secondary School Reports due for Regular Decision colleges? January 1st right? What date should I mark on the manila folder that I give to my counselor? Thanks!

I’d mark the earliest date of any of your commonapp schools’s apps are due, since the SSR must be submitted with commonapp

You might want to tell your GC an earlier priority date even (if your
applying for Stanford RD that date is Nov 15th). This way you can make sure
you are not amongst the 1 or 2 students at your HS who despite the GC’s
best efforts manage to mess up their app deadline submissions.

Remember once they get the first one out of the door your HS is probably very good
at getting the rest of your SSRs sent out on time.

When I was applying to university I gave my GC a list of the deadlines for each school I applied to. Then, just before the major deadlines, I double checked with her to make sure the forms had been sent. Can’t hurt to be extra careful.

Note that a college will not hold you as responsible for pieces of your application that you aren’t directly responsible for, so if your secondary school report is late, you won’t be thrown out.

^ not thrown out, but could loose their shot at merit scholarships due
to deadlines for consideration. This has happened at my HS.
