my 2nd quarter ended last month, but I noticed my application status for few colleges (BU and Middlebury) has an empty check box across the “senior year grades”, or “mid year grades”, and my counselor is the one who is supposed to send those out. will this be a problem for my admission to those schools? they are releasing decisions in almost 10 days…
@camwow Have you followed up with your counselor to ask when your mid-year report will be sent? Fortunately, colleges realize that some things are not in your control but you should follow up and get that sent over ASAP as you are right, decisions are going to be released in about 10 days.
^ thanks. I just emailed her.
my counselor also did not send my retired teacher’s letter of recommendation to one of my colleges. my counselor is the only one who has my old teacher’s rec, and he misplaced it so he emailed my teacher to get an extra copy, but my teacher takes a really long time to respond to emails (about 2 weeks, maybe never…).
If colleges don’t have these materials by the notification date, then what happens? do I automatically get rejected?
I don’t know what will happen @camwow Missing a rec and a mid-year report is very negligent of the counselor. Have you called the schools?
