Count Down to PPW

Ours spent a day early on in a dark room in medical with an IV attached to his arm. Dehydrated and overheated. Surprise, surprise. Going from Alaska to Maryland in the summer was evidently very hard on his body. We had tried to acclimate him a bit by leaving Alaska a week early and spending 5 days in Michigan before going on to Annapolis. Didn't help either that he is a swimmer and was used to having the cooling effect of the water during workouts. I think I now appreciate the fact that we didn't learn of his visit to medical until long after it was over, so we didn't have the opportunity to worry about this particular incident. Nurseypoo, I feel for you! Do know, however, that they took great care of our son and that he successfully finished the summer in spite of that speedbump! Yours will be fine, too.

Perhaps a tall glass of Iced tea (or Long Island Iced Tea!) and some soothing music would help. We are all here for you! BTDT! ;)

Hey, I kinda feel like a parent cadre! What about you, atrmom? Profmom? USNA09mom? Only no yelling. Just lotsa workouts, chocolate and alchohol.
