Countdown Begins!

I don't know if there is already a thread for this...

BUT...

2 hours.. 15 minutes until we know...

FYI: last year it seemed the results were loaded in batches. And count on the server being slow or not responding at times. Some didn't find out until closer to 9pm last year.

Oh... Ew...

Don't they email decisions to us though??

The email will probably come later, not earlier. It took my DS two hours last year to get his result online. The email came a day after that.

so, say they release the decisions out in chunks. if the chunks are in alphabetical order and my last name begins with a D, does that mean ill find out closer to 5-5:30?!

cuz that would be awesome.

Mine ends with a C :D

No, it wasn't alphabetical last year

1 hour, 15 minutes.

Don't drive yourselves crazy waiting......try to keep busy. Go for a run, watch a movie, go out to eat...do something!

Last year my son did not find out until about 6:30-7 p.m.

Good Luck to all!!

I can't believe it takes that long. Just tell me, are you gonna reject someone whose #2 in their class or no? lol.

Maybe not but they'll reject someone that doesn't know basic grammar.

Well, Keane Fan, someone I knew got into UF, but neither the valedictorian NOR the saludictorian (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) of her school got accepted, so if I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Salutatorian, and well put KP LOVE

I think UF is one of those few schools that take "holistic admissions" extremely seriously.

I'd disagree dvm

19 minutes!!!!

Oh geez. I just have no idea what will happen. I looked at their 2007 freshman profile again just now, and I'm in their highest SAT subgroup (88% admitted) but am in one of their lowest GPA groups (16% admitted). It's a complete roulette.

I agree with dvm. UF is the type of school that can accept a student with an 1150 that has a decent gpa~3.8, but has many extracurricular activities with leadership; on the other hand UF can reject a student with around a 1350 with no extracurriculars; thus UF views admissions as being holistic.

I thought there would be more activity here only 30 minutes before the decision. Maybe people are just trying to have a period of self-reflection right now before they check. :)

!
12 minutes
