i have been in 7 AP’s and 4 honors throughout high school, aswell as being in the basketball team, mun, treasurer of the student council, tutor, charity foundations, mu alpha theta, and im an international

yeah im also the only person who applied to BU ED in my school, maybe the only person in my country who applied BU ED

Me and one other person applied ED however he is underqualified for BU. MAella10, i go through the same feelings. one day ill be confident but the next ill be nervous that something is not good enough, course rigor for example

I agree with everyone… and then I have friends all telling me “of course you’ll get in – stop worrying and freaking out” …but I have my days when I just don’t think I’ll be accepted. It’s so stressful!! Especially because others are receiving admissions decisions today and tomorrow.

hey greeksalad don’t feel sad. Not everyone is perfect. BU considers your application as a whole not just by one small thing. I also have a flaw with my application, my gpa. but you worked hard on your essay right? cus if you saw the video on bu.edu with ms. walter (the dean of undergrad admissions) she said that the essay can be the tip factor.

MAella10, i did the see the video. i think my essay was good but not excellent. it would not stick out among the crowd. the thing with my course rigor is that i started in all accelerated classes (in my school in goes: CP, accelerated, honors, AP) and moved into 2 honors sophomore year, 3 honors junior year, and now i have 3 AP 1 honor and 1 accelerated. Along with increasing difficulty in classes my grades got better. So i have a strong upward trend. What have been the rigor of your classes??

you have nothing to worry about GreekSalad, having an upward trend in grades is always a plus in any college. For me it has actually been the opposite. My school offers regular, intensified, 1 honors class (Multi-variable calc if you are wondering), AP and IB. I took all intensified classes freshman year (A’s & B’s), then sophomore year I took intensified and added 2 AP classes (A’s and B’s) then junior year I begain the IB program with 3 HL classes and then senior year I am in 4 Higher level classes. My grades have bounced from A’s to B’s to C’s to B’s to A’s. It brought my gpa down. I’m so scared! last year at my high school 6 ppl applied RD and they ALL got in so the pressure is on for me for ED. Only 3 ended up going however.

yea lights91 like all the ivies except for Harvard find out tomorrow and friday. my friends think that I will also get into BU but idk. ugh the wait is like tourture, has it not been like the slowest week or what?

hey JND3344 do you go to an american international school? how do your parents feel about you going to a school outside of the country? my mom doesn’t even want me to leave the state lol

I am from Massachusetts. My school has about 280-300 students. I think I have a rather good chance of getting in, but you never know with this college stuff. I am applying for Sargent College for the 6 year Physical Therapy program. So nervous, yikes!

yeah i go to an american school in colombia, i got 100 on the toefl so they must be doing something right ;). Yeah my parents aren’t fascinated by the idea, although they still think that is more likely that i will come back but im like 80% sure that ill stay but no reason for telling them now :D, they won’t let met leave the country if i tell them
