Countdown to 2012 Recognition

yeah, but the parade today trumped that. that was hysterical to watch (pink panther stole the gold saber from the wing king during the parade and replaced it with a plastic sword)

you're right, that does sound absolutely ** * hysterical * **. too bad i'm so short/in the back.

hahahhaha eagle that was amazing... i laughed my hat off when we passed yates for the pass in review, with that blow-up saber..lol the panther was a pretty good marcher too. it looked professional :)

Dang, I only saw the panther running away with a saber.
I didn't get a good look at Yates, since I was on the end of a row.

I spoke too soon because that was HILARIOUS! Good job 36. Three more days till our turn!

i hope our's gets approved soon, its gonna be a great President's day for sure...

hysterical, to be sure.

Hummm...Bulldawgs' will be awesome. We finally got it approved! Now we just got to pull it off! but that's in about 22 days!

Does anyone take pictures where we can see them posted?

If there were fewer squadrons, as there used to be, would there be fewer days of this bruhaha?

nope, 2009 still had 40 days despite only having 36 squadrons.

33 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

King Ratz, Lords of the Cellar

FM - don't expect to see a lot of photos from Recognition. The main ones I remember from last year were pictures of our cadet getting his prop & wings, and group shots of the squad with lots of smiling faces. For the most part everyone will disappear for a couple of days...some upperclassmen will post during...and often willl allude to the fact the the Class of 2XXX "didn't bring it" but don't let that discourage you. From a parental perspective there is a lot of similiarity and emotion comparable to early BCT.

if you meant pics of the spirit missions, usually not. most of them you can't rly take pictures of, so it just something that you experience and enjoy.

and as for recognition, we're actually not allowed to take pictues. each squadron has a photo represntative, but none of the pictures taken during are allowed to be kept by individuals are published anywhere

Spot on. Spirit missions can't really be experienced on film, and Recognition is a whole different beast. I have a lot of pictures from Recognition last year, but we were told specifically that they're never to be released to the public in any form. Don't you worry though, parents, we'll take good care of them. ;)

to be sure.

I would have liked to have seen the toilet seats from 39's mission!

"Take good care of them" Petko: is that a line from the Godfather or something? :)

no more middle strip of the T-zo... :( not fair to us in vandy

Waaaaaaa, life's Soooooooo haaaaaaaaaard. .....

yes, it truly is. My squad has been going all the way to the far strip for breakfast for the last week and a half per order of training staff (in an effort to reduce crowding), life is so tough :)

Don't worry - during Recognition, you won't have to run the strips at all!
