Countdown to 2012 Recognition

lol FM. :)

I had the honor of seeing CadCandMateus outside my door as I walked back from the shower on Friday evening. Always seems to be a gaggle of 4 digs when I come back from showers lol.

aww, he should've told me and i would've come too :P

I spent the weekend blowing up baloons (around 500) and tieing string to every conceivable part of a room (we used 4 balls and completely blocked the door)

Hornetguy never looked so good!!!

i room with a firstie, and i was thrilled to find out that our room took almost no time to clean up, and they left all of my stuff alone (what i hadn't already hid)

Hornet there is always a gaggle of four digs outside your room due to the people you room next to. What can I say, we are now the cool room amongst the four digs.

lmao, didn't know that....

Mateus, I swear....I will never look so good when you come to the !Huzzah! during recognition! :) I'll be sure to find you, last chance to pester before those P&Ws!

Hooray for RESTRICTION!!!!! ;)

It won't be forever. Probably just through recognition.

hopefully...

Yes well rumor has it that we wont get privileges if 4 digs keep acting up even after recognition... ;)

I don't mean to sound so sarcastic, but can we all agree that this is a great example of the USAFA cycle? We heard the same old song and dance last year before 2011 got to this point, just have to roll with these punches and push hard through the end... Each class probably got the "you suck" speech as I call it... Nothing we can do about any of it, its tradition and it happens every year, I truly want to "earn" what will rightfully be mine in 19+3 days, who is with me 2012??? :)

Actually, we never got a mass "you suck" speech...

Well then this is way worse than I thought... :(

Mental note to myself for next year.

lots of 3 digs in our squad (and many upperclassmen) have told us that it happens every year.

we also got sat down by our squad comm and told "keep doin what you're doin, cause the problem isnt here." but the actions of a few reflect badly on the entire class, so there's not much we can say about it.

I'm with packermatt on this one

well most times, there's nothing YOU can do about it. if you do what you're told, dont cut corners, and expect the same from your classmates, you've done your job. the problem comes from the few who think they can get away with stuff, or claim that they "dont know" the rules. if most of your class is doing what they're supposed to, and there are just a few that arent, permanent party and the upper class cadets in high positions will perceive the whole class is like that. almost seems like it's a waste to follow the rules when you know you're gonna get punished for the acts of people that you dont know and have never met, but it feels good to get reassurance from people that know you (squad commander and other upperclassmen) when you're doin stuff right.

in the end, the point is that you're a team. if one fails, we all fail. and that's what's happened. the best thing you can do is keep doing what you're supposed to, and expect the same from those around you.

whatever... 19 days

well said HNeedle, and well said Mateus...

Let 2013 figure this crap out on their own and keep the details to a minimum... and again, 19 days!!!

haha true :) "rip and tear!"
