Countdown to Acceptance Letters

our teachers arent letting us do that,
our teachers have to send them directly.

I don't know. I'll email the admissions office about it, but it's easier for me to collect them then to have the teachers send them. More organized, and it lets me know that I've got that covered...

honestly, i'd rather send it in myself- one less thing to worry about. The applications i am sending in all said the teacher should send it (except for deerfield).

I guess i'll do what they asked me too, although wouldn't it be MUCH easier for the schools to have everything they need in one envelope?

That's what I'm thinking!
And, I wouldn't know when or if teachers sent them, making it near impossible to know if your application was complete!
Wouldn't it suck to get to February 3rd, the day after applications are due, and realise your teacher never sent the recs???

It would also suck for them to be skeptical about you getting your recs back when they receive everything in one big envelope

Regardless of what you think may be better or easier for the school, you need to follow THEIR directions (with the understanding that there may be different rules for students applying from abroad). It is also your (and your family's) responsibility to follow up to make sure that all parts of your application have been received. Some schools have an online system for you to check this. Others send postcards about missing items. It is also acceptable to call the admissions office and ask "Is my application complete, or is something missing?" and then to politely remind a teacher of something that needs to be sent. Obviously, don't call once a day....

ahhhh 2 days until my Deerfield interviewwww

2 days until hotchkiss!

Shoot. Well, I'll give my recs back to my teachers that I've gotten so far and have them mail em. Well, actually, it didn't say anything about recs needing to be maild by the teacher (on most of my apps) but deffinitely the school report... Poop.

wow, december's flying so fast

Grr I know. ALL MY WORK IS TO BE DONE during the vacation... Uggggh.

You are supposed to give the teachers stamped envelopes so they can mail them themselves. You should stick stamps on the envelopes before you return them to the teachers and ask them to mail them. You also don't need to worry about the schools receiving multiple envelopes, they have systems set up for this, as long as everything has your name on it, it will get to your file.

Mkay. Seems like it'll work out.

Are you done with all your stuff yet?

O.M.G. i can't wait!i was so, so nervous.hahaha. xD

i hope nobody's done yet -_-;;
i seriously have yet to finish the other 70% of my application. EVEN the basic parts. UGH!

Finished with Andover Exeter and St pauls....gotta do interviews which is in a few days, then take one more shot at a 99 on the ssat in january. Still havent done any of deerfield, hopefully its something I've already done and I can just plug in their name. If not then it should take me a few hours.

I'm still thinking of what to write for all of the essays...

73 days till March 10

can you believe we passed the 75 mark, never mind the 100 day mark!??

i think it's amazing how fast time flew this semester... before May, getting through a month felt like forever!
