Countdown To D-day

Today is the first day I've really started being anxious and nervous about this. Aaack. Waiting is the hardest part!

checks website again

"Admission Status: Evaluation in Progress - Interim Decision"

lets out a sigh

My admissions decision does not come tomorrow, yet you are all making me nervous.

Ah I'm waiting anxiously too! Can we check our admissions decisions online, or are they only mailed to us? Also, does anybody know if we might get them before Feb. 10 (or are they mailed on this day)?

Look back some in this thread, twinklestar146. Admissions will be out soon- may even be online tommorow, probably will be mailed out very soon as well. I believe that last year, they came out on the 6th.

nspeds, when does your transfer admissions decision come out?

Im sooooooo nervous/excited. They had better be out tommorow that's all I have to say.

icymoon,

May 15th.

Woah, icymoon

Your ID Decision says Admission Status: Evaluation in Progress - Interim Decision"?

My RD Decision says Complete - Regular Decision ... Does this mean they've already made the decision on my app? Or is this just wishful thinking?

The way I would actually read that, athlon, is that you app is complete but not yet under review, while Icymoon's is being reviewed.

Okay, that's what I figured.

omg when will they post the decisions ...................... ugh I am so anxious

Thanks for the info, Rice-Obsessive. =D

I'm going to be refreshing my Admission Status page every hour or so tomorrow... ahaha

I think, judging from the ID roster, we will have a high number of accepted applicants. Good luck to y'all!

hopefully there will be room for RDs...oh gosh let there be room!!!

Good luck!!

ROOM!!

There will be room. :)

I'm just worried that I'm going to get rejected... I think I can handle a deferral and wait for RD, but a rejection?? Sigh, that would be horrible. :(

same here.

you never know till you get the results, icymoon. i'm worried about my decision also because i don't think i quite stand out from the rest of the stellar applicants...

does anybody want to call the admissions office and see exactly when they will be updating our decisions? I'll volunteer if there aren't any, though the last time I called Rice for financial aid, the receiver sounded somewhat impatient and rude... intimidated

But anything to find out! All I think about is Rice results these days!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:34

Although you may not be a Christian, I believe the words of Christ in Matthew hold true. I'm excited, but not worried, because I know my admissions decision to be a part of God's greater plan for my life. As my school's counsoler told me after I received a terribly low SAT II writing score, everything happens for a purpose. If that score keeps me out of Rice, it's because I'm supposed to be some place else.

I wish everybody the best, and blessings wherever your life takes you.

And I wish you the best as well, Albert, as well as everyone else here :). I'm personally worried about my low SAT II math IIc score (650, eep....)

I'm probably going to call Rice tomorrow - the financial office - to talk about the FAFSA and such. But if I do, I will definitely try to toss in a question about when decisions were/will be sent out and posted online.
