<p>Even though theres nothing I can do about it now, I'm anxious and would love to here what you think about my chances because I need something to fill the time waiting, please chance me!

<p>CMC ED, pretty good sats, low gpa </p>

<p>I applied ED to Claremont McKenna last week and I was wondering what my chances are; it's pretty hard to say by looking at the rankings sites because the admissions situation has changed drastically in the last few years.
Anyway, here are my stats. </p>

<p>Middle-range New England Prep School, we get some people into top schools but not many. </p>

<p>Class Rank: Somewhere between top 10% and top 25%
Good recs/essays
GPA(unweighted) : 3.2-3.4 (but rising since sophomore year)
SAT: 2260 (I only took the SAT and the ACT once each)
Critical Reading: 800
Math: 750
Writing: 710
SAT IIs:
Literature: 720
Math IIc: 760
ACT Composite: 33
APs:
AP Computer Science AB: 5
AP English Comp: 5</p>

<p>Senior Year Classes and first term grades:
AP Economics: A
Honors Physics: A
AP Chemistry: A
AP Calculus AB: B+
AP English Lit: B</p>

<p>Gave an interview there last fall, it went pretty well.</p>

<p>ECs
Young Republicans Club President (co-founder)
Debate Team Captain
Community Service regularly last two years
Writer for the school newspaper
Bowling, 4 time national finalist for junior team usa
Computer Science Team</p>

<p>Work Experience:
Started my own web-design company
Worked on a few campaigns for local politicians</p>

<p>My mother went to Scripps but I don't know if they take that into consideration.</p>

<p>Let me know what you think my chances are, please?</p>

<p>I would have said good chances, but your rank and GPA scare me a bit. Considering that you only get a couple people each year into top schools, I really think you should be top 10%, if not top 5%... Even so, your SATs are good, and it seems like you have some leadership. I'd say it will be a reach for you. But, anyways, chances aren't really accurate, so just wait and hope for the best.</p>

<p>hey you guys. could you tell me about my chances as well. i applied early decision and can't wait until december 15.</p>

<p>I go to a small school in New Orleans that has a graduating class of only 40 people.</p>

<p>National Merit Semifinalist
Class Rank: 4/40 so top 10%
GPA(unweighted) : 3.81
ACT Composite: 32</p>

<p>My school doesn't offer any AP classes, but I took all honors all 4 years.</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars
Student Council President
Acapella group co-president
Varsity volleyball
Science Olympiad (3 years)
Varsity softball captain
Varsity basketball captain
Yearbook editor-in-chief
Member of the small, auditioned choir</p>

<p>Work Experience:
Worked on the Bobby Jindal campaign over the summer
Book Order Processing for the school</p>

<p>My brother is currently a senior at CMC.</p>

<p>And I definitely think you have good chances of getting in, but I agree with blondie625 in that your GPA seems a little low. But if they look as much at leadership as they say they do, then it is definitely a strong possibility.</p>
