i just realized ill get my decision for boston college around the time i get my SAT scores… if the snail-mail really does take a really long time to get here, which it shouldnt because it’s from boston to new jersey. i’d be really happy to get two good news in december.

I’m impressed. MIT? lol that’s pretty awesome…so post what you got lol!
I am EXCITED about this. And really scared haha. It’s my first time taking it and as a freshman, so whatever crap I get will be reasonably justified. Er, sort of.

If you think about it, it’s a bit mean making us wait two and a half weeks (Even though it’s down to just plain two now), but I kind of prefer it this way. In a way. Now you get to anticipate and sweat and pant and feverishly deride others on CR/W/M threads for getting answers you didn’t (they’re obviously wrong…lol) and generally go into an uncontrollable screaming burst every two days from being torn apart by the anxiety.

It just all makes you appreciate the magnitude of the SAT so much more (meaning I really should’ve taken it next year of junior year…too late…) than otherwise. Plus I love countdowns. The SAT countdown (for ridiculous freaks like me) makes the new year countdowns look lame! :)

@Sci-Fry…good luck on your scores and getting into MIT. For MIT, a perfect score on the SAT isnt the be all and end all (even in math). My brother got into MIT with a 700 CR, 720 Math, and 750 Writing. So just remember that the SAT isnt everything.

May I ask a question? I registered another test date for SAT,but I finally went to the testing center on Dec. Test date and the proctor/staff helped me switched the day.I took the test on Dec. 5,but I never saw any updates(test date still shows May…no sign saying"flashback to blahblahblah") on myCollegeboard account…Will I still have my result out by the time Dec results should come out? Thank YOU!

Awww, you guys? Could you help me? I signed up for this December SAT over a month and a half ago, and as expected, collegeboard has been filling my inbox with random stuff.

And I think just yesterday or a couple of days ago I received an email informing me that-

“Although you’ve taken the SAT®, you still have time to take the important step of sending your scores to colleges and scholarship programs by logging onto your “MY SAT” account at <a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>www.collegeboard.com/mysat. Sending official SAT score reports is the only way to ensure that colleges receive your scores.”

…blah blah blah blah blah…

So anyway, what does this mean? This is my first time with SAT, so this message definitely struck an alarm. What does the College Board mean when that I still have time to send my scores? And I’m a freshman, so I definitely won’t be applying to any colleges soon. But does this mean my scores will expire soon or something if I don’t send them NOW to some random college? Urggh…I’m scared. :(

Somebody take pity on me and answer this? Please?

^No~Don’t worry.CB is just reminding you that you can(if you want to) take advantage of the four free score reports.Your scores won’t expire till like four yeaers later(?).But anyway, you can feel free not to use that four score reports to colleges if you you are not sure how well you did and so forth.(and considering yourself a freshman, you probably won’t need to report them for right now,you can though.)After 9 days after your testing day,all reports to any college are no longer free, they’ll be 9.5USD each. Same rules apply to everytime you take the SAT.
