From what i heard I think most of the top colleges use a cut off system. They set a number like say 2000 or something and then only look through those applications.

ditto. akshat- us indians, we tend to score perfectly on sat 2 all the time. FOR SOME WEID REASON,

@tan: but all the colleges say on their websites that they dont have “cut-offs”

@akshat— i know i have to do a whole other application just for them!!!

hey, if you got 800 on both of the subject tests you took, why would you be upset about taking a third one? are you absolutely insane?

and you’re a genius, if you don’t mind me saying, for getting 800 on Math Level II.

thats right. I know that other things matter, i was using that example to illustrate the extent of their “selectiveness”

“you’re a genius, if you don’t mind me saying, for getting 800 on Math Level II.”

I second that. Great job!

jinju- thats ********. they have a cutoff. btu its unofficial. they have a bare minimum below which is just UNACCEPTIBLE ccording to their standard and they move on upwards from there.
you think they carefully study application with students gettin 1700 and 1800? i think NOT

the great thing about the math II sat II is that you can pretty much get like 6 questions wrong and still get an 800

@ KEIL…Mark me for Datmouth!!! Oh and Cornell…and Brown!!! :D

Thought of Amherst…but its an ifffy on my scores!!!

btw akshat, thats amazing dude. I hope you get in for India’s sake (im also indian btw)

@swordestone: TRUE TRUE.

I just freaking shuddered.

I just had a sudden epiphany: i’m terrified of my SAT Reasoning Scores.

ahhh, i don’t want to look even if they are there!!! ahhhhhh!

@Akshat: Really? Aren’t Brown and Amherst about the same, in terms of selectivity?

indians, we’re on a roll arent we
obama wasnt too wrong. :D

Go india!!!

AWWW MAN deva! :DD
relax. i have enough brown paper for all of us :P

scores should be stellar. if not, its alright. i gave my SAT wihtout studying. so dont really expect a 2400 anyway
come on, this is the time you feel better about yourself.

@ dEVA AND kEIL…i TOOK THEM IN oCTOBER THIS YEAR…AND MY 800 on Math II was an 89th percentile!!! Unbelievable right???

Oh and for the 3 subject test…I wanted to take it because Harvard requires 3 Subjet tests!!!

ne1 here taking the IB?

Any Koreans on here? lol

i’m taking APs
