Countdown to DECISION DAY!!!

x.wondergirl, are you a fan of the Wonder Girls? Haa, just wondering.

just throwing this out there, but SNSD > Wonder Girls. :)

OMGMALSGJAKLDFJ NOOOOO WG>>>>>> SNSD FOREVER

I met WG and they are the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I went with them to the Wendy Williams show too… I LOVE THEM!!! SNSD is ok. I like Genie, haha, but that’s about it.

Sorry, off-topic. Haha.

Wow the decisions are almost out… jeez. I remember last year this span of time was just agonizing. It’s flown by this year. Columbia sure does lay it on for finals…

fastfood: really? what’re the tests like, is the core work really hard?

^ I’ve had relatives who went to Columbia who told me the work load is huge. Which is kind of daunting.

I think the important thing to remember is that it is all relative. All top tier schools are going to have high work loads. That’s just a fact.

Now from what i have heard about other schools, Columbia does have a comparatively high work load. Harvard, for comparisons sake, could be called “average” if Columbia is considered “high”.

Most of the work I’m doing right now is for University Writing and Lit Hum. I really like the core and enjoy the work I’m doing. I can’t really complain. But those who are considering Columbia must realize that the Core is a big part of your education here, and it follows that if you do not like the idea of the Core then you will not like most of your first two years here. That is obviously not acceptable.

I would bet that most people could be convinced to like the idea of the Core. In the end it is the same as most things in life: What you make of it.

By no means should people be afraid. I went to a school that is NOTHING in comparison to the schools people went to here, and I am getting by just fine (with projected As in every course). I think that it becomes natural to work at a high level because everyone around you is fully engaged, even further most of your coursework is the same thanks to the Core. Everyone can b*tch about the workload together!

Is the link to where to check the admission decision going to be in the email that will be sent informing us of the decision day? I think I lost the link, and I’m worried about that.

how did you lose the link if u havent even found it yet?

i mean if u havent even received it?

@jalinovi

edit: h8 suju

Anyone just got an e-mail from a Columbia student? Because I didn’t…

@IceFire

It was for those who signed up for a specific mailing list somewhere on the ugrad admissions website.

Oooooh ok now I am very much relieved haha

what did it say in the email?

I didn’t sign up for the mailing list… supposedly it was just basic promotional stuff, though. You’re not missing out on anything.
