Just Three Weeks until Early decisions!!! I can’t wait. Well, I’m so busy that the three weeks will be over before I realize it. But still.

Any thoughts/emotions/comments???

BC is my first choice. I’m also applying to Georgetown early, and then Duke, Harvard, and Penn. So, only five decision letters coming my way, ultimately.
Though Boston is my favorite city in the world, it would sort of suck to have to pick it over any other school though. I can definitely say yes to BC over Georgetown or Harvard (not that that will be an issue, LOL), but Penn and Duke are gonna be tough. So, maybe I’ll just get rejected everywhere else and have an easy choice.

Where else are you guys applying and where does BC stand on your list.

BC is number two but I reeeeally want to get in. However, I definitely should've applied RD with my stats, although I couldn't stand waiting until next year to hear a decision! I'm expect to be denied or deferred lol I'm applying to Vandy, Tufts, WashU, Knox, and Wheaton (IL)

I remember the decisions being available online last year, at least for regular decision. Do you really have to wait for the mail? That would suck because I will be on vacation from the 15th until after Christmas, and I don't want that kind of anticipation!!!

when you send the bc supplement, they send you a username and password for the agora system which tells you which items they have received for your application and which are missing. It also has a section for "financial aid status" but I'm confused about that.

so can anyone from last year please tell us how you can find out about your admissions status on agora? is this method official, or have there been instances where the "enrollment link" has not appeared and individuals have been accepted? does this "enrollment link" appear on the first page?

It shouldn't be too difficult. I'm sure the main BC page or Agora will have a big announcement blurb when EA decisions are in, and by logging on you will see your decision. It's not going to be hard to find.

BC is my second choice but I really really really would love to go there. I really cannot wait to hear about it! My birthday is on the 10th so I'm hoping for a really awesome belated birthday/early christmas present!

I've applied to Amherst, UC San Diego, Scripps, Pitzer, Gonzaga, U of Pitt, Stanford, and Harvard as well (I know it's alot but one was a freebie bec/ they waved the application fee & one my mother made me apply to).

Dear sugangel7 : Yours has to be one of the more eclectic lists of colleges in one post for some time. What are you considering as your course of study? Given the range of geographies and strengths at these schools, what is your first choice and why?

I've listed English as my major on all my applications. I just devour literature. I want to be a professor.

And my first choice is Amherst. The main pull for me is the open curriculum. I love the control you can have over your own education. And I want smaller, seminar-based classes. And I love the idea of the consortium and being able to take classes at the other four. Plus, it's an hour-and-a-half from Boston which is my favorite city on the East Coast.

I'm from CA by the way and I really want to go out-of-state for a new experience. I did visit the campus too and it was beautiful and amazing and I could totally see myself there.

I hope that answered your question...feel free to ask more if you want?

ok, so I called the BC office of admissions today and they said that you will receive a letter in the mail regarding admissions decisions before the enrollment confirmation request link becomes available on agora.

ohhh my gosh this thread makes me nervous. i applied ea, and i want to go to bc so bad. i've never been to boston, but for some reason i've completely fallen in love with the school. ahhh! :) i can't wait to get (hopefully good!) news.
