Countdown to ED Notification

like 40%? Which is what like 20 people?

40-50% sounds about right...I know the Princeton applicant pool is ridiculously competitive, but I think the people on this board are a cut above.
Anyways, zant, you post a lot.

lol yea no kidding
I have no life, what can I say

She almost posts on here more than she talks to me! jk

of the 55 or so on the ED roster, I only "know" (in the sense of talking to via CC) about 9 or 10.

hey, i know that traditionally, a big envelope signifies acceptance and a small signifies rejection. At princeton, though, i thought they sent a notorious acceptance letter that is very small and concise (see link). http://www.edwardtufte.com/bboard/image.tcl?bboard_upload_id=54

Yea me too.

wow, that's really terse but it gets the job done. what are their rejection letter like? nice?

that letter looks fake to me.

well i don't think it's fake, because i've heard from other people of the "Yes! Letter" that has a big "Yes!" at the top and only a couple of short sentences below. I can't verify that it's real, though. i just happened upon it online

I think they changed the "Yes!" letter since Dean Hargadon retired, though. Did you all notice that the asst. dean who signed that scanned letter was the one who broke into Yale's system a few years back? haha.

I think the letter is real because Hargadon was actually on leave then...I've heard of the format, too.

^Mentions the "yes!" letters

The acceptance envelope is still big (my friend got one last year). They include a lot of outside info with the letter, too---as in OA info, bulletins, more in-depth Princeton info, etc.

yea in a really nice folder I heard.
I really hope I get that folder. lol

almost another day down...

let's do a cumulatrive breakdown of what's in the packet (until we get ours, then get to check how accurate we were:))
okay, here goes:

IN YOUR PRINCETON PACKAGE THERE IS/WILL BE:
1) Acceptance letter (is it a card? a letter?)
2) Financial Award (where applicable)
3).....

financial aid? what's that?

jues ilcap - are you psychic or something? I swear I was about to write: Financial Aid (with the exception of el Preppo)
shame on you!

princeton's financial aid system is by far the best of any school i've ever seen - the whole 'no-loan' thing is awesome...im very impressed by it. i played around with that estimation tool, and they give a lot of money to people of all income brackets. typical of princeton's amazingness.

Ah, he does have a heart. (And he knows what financial aid is.) Props, ilcapo. :)

yea, too bad princeton won't be giving my heart a little $$$

32 days.......
