Dry summers, wet winters. And the plants reproduce through burning, because that's how they germinate. Don'tcha love AP Environmental Science?

Desert Vista is our big rival. its also the only other high school in our district worth attending. The district is divided into 2 halves: Desert Vista, Corona, and Mountain Pointe are the rich white/asian schools with lots of Mormans and Jews, but with relatively few Latinos and blacks. To the north, McClintock, Tempe, and Marcos de Niza are all poor and underacheiving, and have lots of Hispanics. This rift even affects property values- had they shifted the boundaries so that my neighborhood went to Marcos, my home value would have gone down.

I definitely want to visit AZ now. It's just so...red orange, you know? And cool.

red and orange? hahahaha. ehhh AZ is ok. i guess. theres only stuff to do if u like doin athletic shiz or we have some decent clubs to....other than that theres nothing to do.

the only good thing is we have good weather.....

oh and good golf...if u like golf haha

What I would do for some warmth now. Today was a warm day- 45 degrees!

Suh-weet! Yeah, AZ weather seems to be all-around nice since you lack the humidity with the heat that coastal states suffer from.

Someone mentioned lurkers a while back...I post a little bit but not as much as you guys do, and certainly not much in relation to how much time I spend on this site!

haha im not one of those super-lurkers who like reads all the posts but is too shy to participate...i just seriously cant keep up with all the threads and stuff enough to participate since to know whats actually going on you have to read back 30 posts since this forum has like 300 posts a day. anyways i think lurkers fall into 2 categories: those too lazy to post replies and those who are actually shy in real-life. I think one's actual personality is linked to their online personality, at least to some extent. Anyways, I was wondering, are there any other Princeton ED applicants here from California?

John Mayer's so awesome! Ahhh! That's so incredibly cool that he is your screnname. Anyways, welcome! And yeah, it can be tough trying to keep up with the threads, but hop on in and just throw something into the conversation. Most of the convos are so random that it'll probably fit in anyways.

umm its cold rite now. it was like 65 today but i guess thats not cold for u lol

Haha john mayer's a pothead dude. He can only sing well when he's high. Apparently he hangs out with rappers because according to Nelly, "he likes to get high, drink, and go to strip clubs." But damn can he sing. I went to see him live and he was amazing. Anyways, what kind of music do you guys listen to?

I could care less what he does in his spare time. His voice is the sheez. If I could sing like that and play guitar, I know I'd have as many "friends" of the female sort as he has...not that I'm a pimp or..y'know...a whore, or anything. But it'd just be nice to know...okay, shut up.

But yeah, he, Dido, and Enya are my favorite singers. Dido will be mine one day, I swear it!

i like john mayer but apparently hes a really big ass in real life poor kid

i like enya and dido too...but my they're not my fav fav's

lol i love how he can take two minutes to get out one sentence.

I like him a lot actually.
And as mainstream as they are nowadays, I like Maroon 5 a lot (and I feel special for listening to all their pre-maroon5 days songs...they used to be Kara's Flowers, and they used to be happier..until a girl named Jane hurt them all I guess...)

My taste in music is really eclectic. I went through a punky phase and I still like Sugarcult and Newfound Glory...

then there's softer stuff like Incubus and Coldplay and Postal Service.

and umm, I love a capella...Rockapella and I spent all day going through Princeton's acapella groups (omg I want to go an archsing...acapella and arches best things ever)

I like hip hop when I'm in the mood to dance and I totally had an oldies phase when I did a show at my school that used all those songs...

So that was a really long answer, sorry!

zero 7! massive attack! portishead! tricky!

oh i LOVE maroon 5 i liked them 2 years ago before they became so big. she will be loved was sooo good but now everyone knows it sad.

coldplay and incubus rock

i really like starting line, switchfoot, jimmy eat world <--- FROM AZ

Its the best weather rite now: its in the 70s, with rain once in a while, but mostly sunny. A good change from the summer, when its in the 110s. No wonder there are so many snowbirds (old people from iceboxes like Michigan and Canada who come for the winter) around here.

lol yea arizona is catching up to florida in terms of popularity for retirement location i heard.

yes we have a lotta old people....theres sun city where all the old geezers reside. where all the old people can be old with other old people....i think u have to be like 65 or older to live there.and there are a lotta people there. yea but phoenix is number 2 rite now i htink
