Countdown to January 2011 SAT Scores

Any thoughts on Monstermac77 question about PSAT and SAT score correlation?

psat 220 and sat 2240. it was really close

i got 214 psat and 2140 dec sat so its spot on.

Likely Score: 2220-2280 (I hope LOL)
Prediction:
690 CR
780 Math
800 Writing
2270

Ultimate Goal: 2300

I got 203 on PSAT, but feel I did much much better on SAT. At least in 2100’s. Maybe it’s because I took the SAT with a crappy four function calc and there’s no essay in writing which is to my benefit.

Want: 2300+.

We load our own scores onto Naviance. :/

@Monstermac77

I took the SAT and the PSAT within 4 days of each other in October and got exactly the same scores (2240 and 224).

Someone want to make a chatroom?

When do people in Virginia get their scores?

5AM. @GoSuLK :)

My school is also on Naviance, but there are no new scores :frowning:
I got excited for a minute there, i was actually hoping to get my scores like 9 hours early lol

Thank You! I was going to stay up until 12:01 …

Our guidance counselor says there is an additional fee to get the auto download …but it is possible. Good luck everyone!

when are scores posted for those in Texas?

4 A.M. for CST time zone. (inc. Texas)

^
thanks!

This morning I was looking at studies on the correlation. In case anyone’s interested: http://www.aacps.org/testing/researchbriefs/The%20Correlation%20between%20the%20PSAT%20and%20SAT.ppt</a>

I did my own in depth analysis of my previous PSAT (twice) and SAT (once) scores to help predict how well I would do on this SAT. I included all the scores, questions right and wrong by difficulty against subject, and right wrong against type of question. Tragically, I had the motivation to do all of this analysis but never I never actually studied for the tests. I uploaded the spreadsheet and you’re welcome to view it. I think this kind of breakdown would be great for people who need to know their weaknesses for studying.

Ahh I desperately hope that I did better on the SAT than the PSAT. The thing is, when I took the PSAT, I did virtually no studying (only vocabulary) and I guessed on every single question I didn’t know the answer to, even if I couldn’t eliminate a single choice.

This time on the SAT, I actually had studied and I also didn’t randomly guess when I had no idea.

I’m definitely hoping I did better than the 188 I got on the PSAT…

Well, I’d be thrilled if I got a similar score to my PSAT score…but due to some blunders on CR it’s unlikely. Less than 7 hours left!
