I guess I'll be appealing, but I don't have any new info. My senior grades are pretty good compared to my soph/junior grades though, so I suppose that will help?

i kinda feel your pain because some of my close friends were rejected by UC Davis and UC SC while people which has a lower stats(ie. regular classes, lower SAT scores) gets in!.. i heard it might has something to do with income level? Nonetheless, you should appeal

What do you mean income level? My parents earn both about 250k + a year

:/

My dad makes around 75k, and my mom doesn't work...but we have to support 2 other families (long story).

Now all i can do is hope for irvine.. which i should have a decent chance to get into supposedly, and i would def go there if not, theres merced UCR scu and usc cal poly. sigh.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for Irvine myself.

Same here. I haven't heard from Irvine or Calpoly though :(

Big sigh.

hey all, how do you find out for scholarships? after getting rejected from UCD, this feeeeeeeeeels gooooooooooooood :D

makin it rain, what was your UC GPA? I'm soo sorry to hear such news.. Appeal!! you'll be fiiiiiiiiine

My UC GPA is actually really low. I have a 3.2. But my junior year GPA was a 3.8, hoping the upwards trend would appeal to their eye. Same with extracurriculars and SAT's. I had a 4.0 this past senior semester, so maybe they'll consider that too.

I don't even know if i will appeal, but yeah i had similar stats to makin it rain GPA wise, but i had 1950 sat. ec's and essays were great. Plus i started a huge business my sophomore year which supposedly should help my admissions (according to my college counselor)

^ Yeah, everything is pretty similar. GPA, SAT, extracurriculars, essays. Lol.

sad thing is im hearing people with lower stats getting in sigh makes me sad and scared. i applied as politics /undeclared -liberal arts (according to my admission officer one of the easier majors to get in)

Do other people have this missing as well?

Hang in there stripesforsure and makin it rain! I didn't apply to UCSC but I feel your pain (rejected from UCD-my top choice & paranoid about UCSB and UCI). I think it's really bizzare you guys didn't get in, but it seems like the UC's have been accepting/rejecting pretty random people.
But seriously, you both have really good stats for UCSC and should really appeal!

Accepted.

Good luck to the people who have difficult situations - think your options through, you know what's best for you.

they didnt send me and email, but when i logged into the site it said i was accepted
