CR: 750
Math: 780 (stupid ab+c=0 question)
Writing: 800 (78 MC, 12 Essay)
Overall, I’m satisfied. I’m slightly annoyed by the math, but it’s not too bad. I dont plan on retaking unless I have to for NMSF or something.

Yay~

Interesting note: I was getting 2290s a couple weeks before the exam. And then on my last practice test the Sunday before, I got a 2190. Yeah. After that I stopped studying and decided to take it cold–and I got a 2330 on the real thing! It was higher than I was expecting. So I’m happy.

qtpi - Your scores are probably good enough to get in an Ivy. But remember, everyone who applies (or has a legitimate chance of getting in) has near perfect standardized test scores and perfect grades. You need to ask what makes you special, unique and outstanding beyond grades and test scores?

Seriously? You “only” scored 99+ percentile. Do you really think that’s not good enough? Your scores are good enough to go anywhere. It’ll be about other stuff. And saying “good GPA and recs” is pointless, because everyone who gets in (well, pretty much everyone who applies) will have that. It comes down to intangibiles.

In other words, there is no way to know, but your SAT score will not be the determining factor in any way.

I’m wasn’t expecting that:/ math : 670 I thought I just missed 2. Is there any way to complain about that and force CB to re-evaluate this section ?

hey…im a highschool sophomore student in the arabian gulf region please guide me on how to prepare for the SAT test… what SAT prep books would you recommend? and any other useful tips… i am TOTALLY lost :s helpp meee!

@ADHD - ppl who get 2250+ usually have studied a great deal… if you’re already that close to a 2400, why not make use of the time spent thus far and pursue it?
i got a 2060, 2250, then 2290 this time, but plan to go once more in JAN

@ stix2400 - hey dude, i remember you from somewher else… whatd you get this time?

@ PenNY - look on this website for the “Xiggi” method. you essentially take OFFICIAL practice tests only (buy blue CB book), getting comfortable with the format and picking up subtleties that not all SAT guides point out; i found his method to be very effective

I got a 2250. 710CR/740M/800W. This brings me to a 730CR/740M/800W superscore (2270).

I predicted a 2340 for the November test, but my estimations are purposefully optimistic (I’m superstitious, don’t ask).

Before taking the test, a more valid estimation, based on my performance on practice tests, would be 770CR/740M/760W (2270)

So I got about that, and I’m happy with what I got, though a little bummed that CR actually dropped after so many near-perfect scores on practice tests. But hey, that’s what superscoring is for!
