Countdown towards February 12th

Sohini, the same happened to me…

Same here. Applied summer b, rejected for fall.

I applied for summer term B, no decision yet…

I applied for Fall and I was accepted in Summer B. BTW when Summer B begins?

PachB and BMEwannabe, I’m in the same boat with you guys. I really want to know if I got into Summer B, I don’t care about Fall 2010

It’s interesting a lot of us are in the same boat.

Accepted for fall 2010! :)

We need to get to the bottom of this.

If your decision is not accepted, it does not matter what term you applied for or what term is listed. If you are NOT accepted, it may say fall or summer, but you are not accepted none-the less. I am sorry, but the decision on your application has been made. While it may seem confusing, if you are not accepted and it says fall you are not accepted for summer, fall and spring.

If you are accepted, it will say for summer, fall or for spring. No matter what you applied for, it will list which term you were accepted for.

These decisions are rough, and I feel for you.

Well I do not even have a decision yet.

Okay there was no reason for the caps or anything maybe some of us are upset and really wanted to attend UF. I will not take this as defeat, but we don’t need that, thank you.

Seriously.

And the decisions come out at 5pm on a Friday because the Admission office does NOT want to deal with phone calls. This way, one has NO WAY to contact the department until Monday. By that time, many questions have been answered, and much confusion has been lifted. I don’t agree with it, but it is how they do it. There is a reason they start the notification process the minute they leave the office :(.

But if you see a NOT ACCEPTED, you have been denied for all terms.

I understand that Sunny, I just want a decision.

It took 3-4 hours last year for everyone to be able to access their decisions. And if you applied as a high school senior and will have 30-60 credits from dual enrollment, there is a chance you will not have a decision tonight. Last year, if one had marginal stats and 60 dual enrollment credits anticipated at graduation, or a pending AA at graduation, they did not hear on the Friday night of notifications, but rather were reevaluated as a transfer over the next 1-2 weeks and eventually got a decision by the end of the month.

That answers my question sunny, thank you [I will have an AA at graduation]

I guess i’ll know by the end of this month

PachB, my D had a friend like you who did not hear last year on Friday. He expected to hear, but did not. Turns out he did not “make it” with his stats, being evaluated as a first time in college freshman (FTIC), but made it as a transfer. It is a technicality really. Someone like you actually has two chances to get in. All high school duel enrolled students are considered as FTIC freshman with advanced standing if they are accepted. They are accepted as freshman, but may have junior standing. But if you don’t quite make the “bar” as a FTIC freshman with advanced standing, you get another chance as a transfer. I can tell you that if they did NOT want you either way, you would have a not accepted decision. So if there is no decision, that is still positive for you. Call on Monday or Tues. The phones will be crazy. But you will probably get to speak with someone once you say that you did not have a decision listed. They will then tell you the timeline on when you can expect to hear. GOOD LUCK!!!

That sounds good! I’ll keep checking. I haven’t taken all the pre-req’s for hte major I applied for yet, so I hope that doesn’t bite me in the foot.

Thank you!!

i got accepted!!! congrats to all the other gators out there!!! :D

i wonder if anyone has been notified that they were accepted on the Internet and later rejected through the mail?
