Me too. I'm busy in the afternoon for the whole day.

I remember in an old thread someone said their counselor talked to Shaw and Shaw said that they would be out on the 15th at 5 pm... That's what I'm assuming, anyways. I don't know which time zone he meant, probably Pacific.

Hmm, does anyone know if all the decisions have been made by now?

It's fairly likely.

Hmm, alright, this is nerve-wracking =]

Who is Shaw?

Hey guys--don't get any ideas!

Haha, this is quite appropriate and amusing.

lol I hope no more people do that. it's immoral and useless! let's stick with each other... just 2 more days :)

Haha, did you guys hear what happened with the Cornell stuff?

AHA! I I totally win. I leave for India at midnight, Friday. I don't haaaave to find out....

why wouldn't you want to find out???

what happened with the cornell stuff?

I will be in India and will be having fun and don't want to think about why did didn't get in....

^^ A student accepted early last year pasted the URL onto the Cornell forum. It heppened to show people their decisions: whether they were decided on or hadn't been put up yet. Cornell found out and took it down, but no one's getting in trouble. They'll put it back up for Cornell on the 15th.

ohh hahaa
what an idiot.. i would think cornell might kick him out for that (if he goes there)...
i wish stanford would just LET US KNOW.

Bumping...

Well this raises a big question. Would you if you had the chance try to find out early? I probably would if there was no consequense. Even now I wish there was some way I could find out even though the decisions come out tomorrow. But I guess the waits half the fun in the application process.

I just had an idea for something to do while we're waiting. Because I know that like me people are trying to fill their time while eagerly waiting for tomorrow to come.

Yesterday I had the chance to help someone cheat on a Physics test that I have already taken. This is an internet class with no teacher there to supervise you. On previous tests I have helped this person out even to the point of helping her get an A for a marking period. But this time is different. If I had helped her I would have been giving her the grade she needed to stay tied with me in class ranks. If I didn't help her she could risk messing up her GPA for the whole year and dropping down to a lower rank. On one hand cheating is wrong but I've helped her before. On the other hand she is tied with me and at the end of the year money is involved. If we are both valedictorian by the end that means less money for me. What would you do in a situation like this?

PS I ended up not having to make a choice because she decided to take the test at home.

Helping someone to cheat, letting someone cheat off of you, IS cheating and a violation of the Honor Code. It is a slap in the face to each and every one of your classmates. It is never right. If you think this is an ethical quandary; if you think this is even a close question; you may not be ready to go to Stanford, or any other college or university I can think of. Please figure this out before you go to college.

Wouldn't be so blunt...but piper's right.

aye. 24 hours left if the results do come out at 5 pm tomorrow. anyone know if the time is correct (as "Shaw" said?)

I actually had decided on not helping her but not for the money. And I have felt bad about helping people in the past but my school environment in a way encourages it including teachers. But believe me I don't intend on cheating if I get into Stanford. That is one thing I plan to leave behind no matter where I go.
