Bzzzt---Welcome to the Regiment of the "Force of Choice!" MPs are a great place to be, and if you haven't heard, some elements of MPs in Korea are Hawaii bound sometime soone! MP soldiers are the greatest, good luck with the future to you and all the '06ers, especially those MPs! Platoon leader life in ANY branch is as good or better than they teach it at WooPoo!
ASSIST PROTECT DEFEND! Any of your buddies headed to Hood may be my PLs in the future :)

That would be awesome. My fiance and I are looking and posting the Big Three (Alaska, Hawaii, or Lewis) after Korea. A girl can dream, right? My Dad's also an MP and he's so proud right now. My roomie, also an MP, is going to Hood, so you may see her this winter. Of the troops, for the troops!

bzzzt, how fast did MPs go this year? I'm ranked in the top 15 percent of my class right now; if I can maintain that, will I have a decent chance?

We had 18 people branch MPs, and I think the last one or two ADSOed for it. I make the top 80 percent of my class look good and you're in the top 15% of your class? Don't sweat it. I think the actual order of merit is posted in the DMI hallway on the fourth floor of Washington Hall. And, to dispel any rumors, yes, the LAST ranked cadet in our branch got Ft. Richardson, Alaska. We also had 2 slots to Italy, one straight up, one ADSO, and several to Germany. There was a slot to Japan. We had a few for Carson, Hood and Riley. Again, check the list in DMI for true stats, posting was incredibly stressful for me and I've developed selective amnesia. PM me and I'll give you a few people to go talk to.

If any of y'all have MP questions, feel free to drop me a note...I'm at the Career Course now but was blessed to get 3 years of PL time, to include leading my guys in OIF II. And yeah, top 15% should be way good for you...My Class ('02) had it go out fairly high with 25 branched and the lowest ranked cadet being no lower than 650 I think. I know I've heard things about the MP Branch rep there, so should you have any MP questions I can help you with, let me know---if I don't know, I probably have a buddy that does.
