First, for the teacher's reccomendation, it says to write the recc. in the space provided. Does this mean in ink? I thought most schools allowed you to send photocopied typed recs that could be used for any school? What did those who were accepted to 2010 do?

Also, is it just me or is there only one teacher rec? I thought most schools asked for two.

sorry for the stupid questions, thanks in advance for the helpful responses

You could write in the space provided, or you could attach separate. Also, I only did one teacher recommendation... and I'll be attending in the fall.

I believe only one rec is required, but it can be helpful to have two: maybe one from a teacher in a subject that you excel in, and another from a teacher that advises a club or activity you're in? Or one from a science teacher and one from an english teacher, etc.

And you can definitely send in typed recs, it's probably more convinient (although I would hesitate to send photocopied recs...)

I was annoying and sent like four recs. I called up NU and they said it's no problem to send more. As for the format, they wrote in ink and then typed up a separate letter and attached it.

I only sent one rec, because I had already buried my other favorite teachers with recs. And my ap psych teacher wrote my rec and I wasn't sure she liked me, but I was one of the 2 A's in the class.
