Couple of questions regarding transferring to Texas A&M University...

I am currently a student at University of Oregon and am going to be a Sophomore next year.

I currently have a 3.46 GPA with 45 quarter hours done. I have my sights set on going to the Mays Business School at TAMU but I understand that my GPA is not competitive enough so I plan on transferring as an Economics major (with General Studies as secondary major), taking the 30 hours required and internally transferring to the Business School that way. My intention is hopefully to transfer to TAMU during the spring semester of 2010.

I understand that TAMU operates on 15 week semesters, so I have roughly 29 semester hours done if you convert them down. My primary objective is just getting into the school so I can internally transfer later on - what do you think my chances are?

PS: The website says: "Applicants will be considered on their overall GPR on at least 24 hours of graded transferable coursework at the time of application from Tables 1 and 2 of the Degree Track appropriate to their intended major." Does that mean that I will not even be considered if I don't have at least 24 hours ALL coming from that list? And if I don't, can I still get in as General Studies as that doesn't have the same requirement?

Thanks in advance.
