Hi everyone,

I've been thinking for some time of transferring to the U to finish up my degree, but I can't seem to find any info on how good (or bad...hopefully not) the IT Infrastructure program in CCE is...I really really really hear the U's a good med school though :P Does anyone have any advice on whether or not to consider applying to the ITI program? I'm an IT Management major at my current school, but I can say from firsthand experience that the degree program isn't anything to be all that proud of...my biggest issue with the program is the substantial lack of professors' real-world knowledge. I work for IT in the same college that my degree is taught in, so I can attest to the "real-world" gap time and time again.

My second/last question is a little more broad and is more about transferring in general. The earliest I could transfer to the U would be my senior year (next year), and it seems as though I would have to be in school for at least another/fifth year to cover the differences in the U's ITI degree requirements. I'm fine with and able to take on an extra year, but I was wondering if there is anything about the U, or about the transfer process in general, that would make this a bad idea. My main reasons at this point for wanting to transfer include the desire to just get out of my small hometown (thinking of living in MN for the rest of my life anyways), my interest in the big-city atmosphere in and around the U, and the rumors that it is a very LGBT-accepting environment. Are any or all of these good or bad reasons for wanting to transfer?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Alex
