Hey guys,

What are good standings in terms of GPA and courses that have to be taken in order to be considered a strong transfer applicant for NYUs stern school of business?

The problem is that my first year at my current public college is very liberal, and Im currently taking microeconomics and calculus, but I do not think I can take their other required courses such as financial accounting, managerial accounting. Is it possible to enroll in courses at another university for these classes?

If anyone who got accepted as a transfer to nyu stern this year, please post your stats, itll be very helpful !

I heard it's also easier to get in when you don't apply for financial aid . Is this true ?

Do the best you can. NYu is need blind. You won't get great financial aid (most likely), but they won't hold it against you either.

Stern is hard to get into, therefore I'm guessing transferring in won't be easy either. Good Luck. I'm a Sternie mtw.

thanks for the reply . may i ask what were your stats when you applied for Stern ?

come on ... anyone else

i'm a freshman at a public college in new york (Baruch College if anyone heard of it) and im hoping to transfer to stern 2009 as a sophomore ...

I checked the forums at NYU and i read somewhere saying that it's good to take financial and managerial acct, which isnt offered to us freshmen until our sophomore year. but i'm taking calculus, microecon, writing and other classes (16 credits semester), would that suffice?

Is it harder to get into NYU if i come from a public college in NY?

If I don't apply for financial aid, would that increase my chances of getting in?

when does transfer applications open for NYU ? I see the same exact essay question as when I applied last year ...
