Couple of Transcript Questions

Hi! I have a couple of questions about transcripts that I can't seem to find answers for. I would really appreciate some help!

First, what do colleges look at on my transcript? I have heard mixed things such as they look only at junior year, they don't look at freshman year, or they even look at all 4 years. What is really true?

Also, how much does an "upward trend" count for? My trend: 3.2, 3.3, and 3.8. I'm expecting higher senior year. Will colleges look at this as a positive thing?

Finally what how much can a high weighted gpa help? My UW gpa is a 3.4, but my weighted gpa is 4.2+ because I take all honors and aps. Will this help?

Thanks!!!!!!

Anyone? 10 char

Most colleges do their own GPA calculation base on your transcripts.

Most of them don’t do weighted GPA; some of them do the core GPA.

I understand that schools are different, but there has to be a general rule for it. I appreciate the response, but it didn’t really answer my other two questions.

It really depends on the college. You should be able to find it on the schools’ websites.
For examples: Univ. of Georgia, see

UGA weights your GPA, but doesn’t consider the"trend", except
