I’m going to be taking two more subject tests next Saturday. I was planning on taking Math II and U.S. History. (I took Math I last spring and got a 620) I would love to take a history subject test if only it was on European history. If I had been more focused on college, I would have decided to take AP American History rather than euro. I think if I retook Math I along with taking Math II, I would get a fairly good score. I haven’t seen any indication that Brown does not accept those as two individual tests. I’m worried that while it may be accepted, it would be severely looked down upon. Anyone know the case? I was planning on calling brown on Monday to find out.

I’m in a small class, and unfortunately for the application process, many of them are high achievers. I have a have around a 3.6/3.7 GPA UW and yet I am somewhere between 20-30%. There statistics show a horrible acceptance rate for those under 10%. Is that case true? I feel like at some other school, I would be right around the top 10%.

Finally a question about SAT scores. Currently I have 650 CR, 780 M, 660 W. I would like to major in computer science. The scores average out to roughly 3 700’s but would it be stronger on the application to have 3 close scores, what I have. I know I can’t do anything more to change these last two questions, apart from slightly changing the GPA, but was wondering as far as chances go.

Btw: last spring, when I took the SAT and Math subject test, I got a 650 on the SAT so it’s very likely my subject test scores for Math 1 will improve easily. (Basically what I’m trying to say is that I didn’t get a 780 on my math while getting a 620 on my subject test, in fact last spring I decided to switch from Chem to Math the night before)
P.S. Kreios Ondrej is not my name.
