couple questions about starting out my new college life.

Well, first of all, I can't stress enough how ready I am for this. A lot of my friends have left already, but I'm left behind sadly. =(

I got my "Recommended classes" already and I was wondering if anyone can share some insight on how difficult the workload/classes will be for my first year:

Year 1 fall
Math 20A
MAE 9
Chem 6A
HSS

Year 1 Winter
Math 20B
Phys 2A
Chem 6B
CENG 1
HSS

Year 1 Spring
Math 20C
Phys 2B
Chem 6C and 6BL
HSS

I also want to know where I can look for work since I need all the extra cash I can get =D. So if anyone can share where to look for work, please let me know!

Those are basically what I really wanna know the most. If anyone can answer, that'd be awesome. Thanks in advance!

spring quarter is a little hefty - 6BL takes up more time than any of your other classes; drop one of them if you want to maintain your sanity (ie, max 4 classes including 6BL).

I agree w/ Astrina. I was taking all science/math classes when I took 6BL, and I spent more time on 6BL than all of my other classes combined. Four classes will be plenty!

ok so what should i get rid of then?

i'd personally leave 6BL until fall quarter, since you need to remain on-track for everything else (ie, finishing the sequence).

I'm still confused on what to take seriously.

oops double post, ummm.. bad grammar. I meant to say "Seriously, I'm still confused on what to take."

I wouldn't worry about it until you have to sign up for spring quarter classes. You'll have a lot more perspective at that point.
