Couple questions about USC! Thank you.

I know on the app they ask for your intended major (and #2 choice) - but when do you actually declare majors?

Also, is it worth applying for any scholarships? I'm a white male from NY, 31 ACT and 3.6 UW GPA - is it worth it? I don't want to rush my app out since it's due very soon, I rather wait until the other Jan. 10 deadline - what do you guys think?

Wow, I’m saying I’m applying to USC and low an behold look who follows. I wouldn’t rush your app for the early deadline, trust me.

Don’t want to jack this thread but; I’m a white male from NY, 33 ACT and 3.85 UW GPA - is it worth it? Is it worth me submitting the app by the Dec 1st deadline - do I hold a shot at the scholarships?

If you apply to a major, that will be your declared major. If you apply “undeclared,” you have until the end of your sophomore year to declare your major. BTW, many students change their majors one or more times before they graduate.

I believe it is **always **worth applying for free money… Here are some threads with discussion of that question:

Good luck!

Hmm thanks alamemom. I just don’t know if I have close to the criteria to be considered.

Yeah I don’t think I’m gonna do it but thank you anyway.

TJC747, If you take a look at the 2010 stats only thread (I just brought it up), you will find several applicants with “stats” similar to yours who were invited to interview for scholarships (look for those reporting acceptances the last week of Jan and first week of Feb), and about 25% of students matriculate with merit scholarships. But if you don’t want free money… all the more for those who DO apply by Dec 1st!
