course 9

I can go look at my diploma when I get home tonight, but IIRC there’s no difference in the wording between 7 and 7A. And I write “S.B. in Biology” on my CV.

I felt that it was worth it for me to work at my UROP, doing a self-run project, without having to worry about the logistics of fitting a 30-unit class into one semester of an already-packed schedule. That’s not to say that I think that sort of stubbornness is a problem (after all, that’s why I doubled in 9 and 7 instead of majoring in 9 and taking a bunch of course 7 classes), just that it’s not related to any consequences in the real world.

tuangpi, that includes absolutely everything you’ll need to graduate with two majors in 9 and 7, subtracting 18.01, although I counted Project Lab as a 24-unit class when it’s actually a 30-unit class. So the total is 36 classes.

^ I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t matter to any one in the real world, but I feel like it’s just the “stubbornness” you described. : ) Kinda like why people choose to take 8.012 here when 8.01 is perfectly fine and both classes show up as “Physics I” on the transcript. : P

speaking of transcripts and CV’s, how well does a Minor appear? how appealing is it?
