Junior/senior year schedules look good. The only change I would consider is replacing one of your senior classes with an advanced math class (multivariable calc, linear algebra or differential equations). Most high schools don’t offer, so you may need to take at your local junior college. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I will look into those types of classes. What EC’s or other activities would you recommend for a rising junior like me? I would be open to internships and other research opportunities over the summer or after school.

An internship/research is good if you do them in areas of personal interest to you. There is a link to a powerpoint presentation identifying the various programs - see http://saratogascience.■■■■■■■■■■/summer-programs.html. I would pursue EC’s that provide you deeper involvement in your areas of interest. For example, if you are into comp sci, participate in hackathons. If you are into engineering, participate in robotics. The answer to recommending EC’s will vary depending on your interests.

.

What programs would be helpful to a future chemistry or physics major in your opinion?

All of the APs you listed above would help. Caltech does not admit by major, and besides, core is a thing.

Oops I forgot about that thank you!

I don’t think you can go much wrong with course selection as long as you challenge yourself with your courses

What do you think about taking more advanced math classes at local places?
