I don’t have to explain a “D” grade if I have already self-reported the grade in the application, right? (It was a junior year, second semester grade.)

On Davis’ “Reporting Changes” page, it states:

“Any change to courses in progress or planned, if different from information reported in your application, and any “D” or “F” grades not already reported in your application.”

…implying that you only have to report the change if it is different from information reported in my application?

But on its “Conditions of Admissions” page, it states:

“If you receive any grade lower than “C” or drop any course(s), you have not met your conditions of admission and must immediately submit an explanation, to our MyAdmissions Web site along within your plans to repeat or make up the course(s). If you have previously informed us of your “D” or “F” grade(s) or dropped course(s) by mail or e-mail, you will still need to provide an explanation at this Web site.”

…which means I still have to explain why I got the grade even though they accepted me fully knowing that I received the grade?

I am confused.

Thank you in advance!

The conditions are referring to your senior grades lol

I’m confused because on the “Course Grade Update” page it states:

“Please explain in detail below why you received any “D” or “F” grades or dropped any of the above courses, and how you are trying to resolve the issue:”

“Any of the above courses” meaning ALL of the high school courses?

I’ve been hearing that it’s JUST senior year courses, but I’m still really uncertain.

I’m afraid that my situation might turn into something like this:

i agree with iamawesome27,

i’m pretty sure they accepted you knowing about your D, if you did report it : )

I’m also concerned about whether or not that I have to make up the “D” course because it seems like they want me to make up the course, even though the course was an elective and was not required. Did they accept me under the condition that they are expecting me to retake the course?

wickfield: call admissions and speak with someone over there. nobody on this board can answer your questions for you – they are not admissions employees.

call admissions ASAP.

I called Admissions and they said it was fine. Only senior year grades or changes need to be reported.

Thank you all very much for your input!
