I'm planning on taking Dynamic Earth (Intro to Geology) as a Natural Science credit for Fall 2008, but on the course search site it says credit may not be received for the class. Is this only for those wanting to major in Geology or does it apply to me as well? Can I take the class?

"Introduction to geology as the study of planet earth, its internal dynamics and its surficial weathering, erosion, and sedimentary processes. Course credit may not be received for this course and also GLY 1892 or 2010C."

It means that you can't get duplicate credit if you take GLY1000 and also GLY1892/GLY2010C. You will get the credit for the class, so go ahead and take it.

There is a corresponding lab for that course so it could count as your lab science.
GLY 1000 Dynamic Earth (3)
GLY 1000L Dynamic Earth Laboratory (1)
