Course load during senior design project?

Hi all,
I am planning out my sequence of classes to graduate and was wondering what the course load should be like for your last semester with the senior design project. I really only have major classes left and was wondering if 15 credits of all upper level major courses is a lot, or just fine.

I am wondering because I am a transfer student and when looking at the curriculum for the major they have people only taking 2 engineering courses and the rest (3) gen ed electives.

Thanks in advance for the advice,
Chuck

I think it’s a lot, but if this is your last semester, you have to do what you have to do in order to graduate.

Well, I was in the same predicament as you this semester. I took 18 hours including a senior design project. It you want to average about 5 hours of sleep a night you will be fine. You are taking 15 which is a class less than the 18 I was. I literally averaged 5 hours of sleep throughout this semester, never had a weekend off and recorded 300+ hours just on senior design alone(had to record hours). So, depending on how strenuous your project is then go for it. I did it as a challenge as I only needed 15 hours to graduate but took one more class that was part of another department. It was an experience that I am glad I did and if you looking for a job soon, that type of experience you will be able to talk about as there will be many obstacles during the semester. Good Luck.
