Course Load for getting into Medical School

I'm a sophomore majoring in psychology. I'm seriously considering going pre-med but I've yet to take any of the requirements. Additionally, I only took 3 courses (13 credits) during fall term this year and last. However, I have a very high GPA (3.93) and I intend to take at least 4 courses per semester from here on out. Will those two lighter semesters hurt my chances at getting into medical school?

Hrm, I'm the oppossite. I took 19 hours last semester (about 6 classes) and if I slow down to 4 classes, I'll still finish my pre-med reqs as well as my liberal arts major. Summer classes should easily relieve you of some schedule hassles.
