I will make this quick. I am contemplating whether or not to take AP Composition or AP Bio? The reason why I state this is because with my current schedule of AP Lit, AP Comp, AP Gov, Adv. Latin IV, and Adv. Pre-Calculus I can not fit a science within my schedule so I am taking a plentitude of electives such as Vietnam, Holocaust, and 21st century world, but I am wondering if not taking that fourth year of science will hinder my chances at getting into schools even though I am balancing it out with two years of AP English. So would it look better to take AP Bio or AP Composition my senior year? Thanks in advance!

My initial judgment would be to take Bio, since I’ve heard that schools like to see 4 years of pretty much each subject. Can’t say that is certain, but if I were an adcom I would like to see 4 years of science.

I’m looking at your schedule right now, and I can not really see a class that you should take out for Bio, aside from Comp. Based on your intended major/direction, choose whichever fits better for you. Engineering/Math/Science would be Bio, and most others probably Composition.

Thank you for your response. I plan on applying undecided, but then go into English or Political Science. Since I am applying undecided will the double English’s really be a stand out?

If your applying as an English major, maybe the AP composition would be a more logical pursuit.
