Course Loads

Would someone, preferably far into his or her BC career, be willing to post the courses taken so far?

IE break it down by year and semester…

I just want to see how things look.

Dear toastmaster : Such information is useless unless tied to your major. Every course of study is incredibly different - even between CAS and CSOM, the course selection is different.

In general, you will have five courses per semester - if you are in the Honors Program, your honors courses (HP001, HP002, HP003, HP004) in freshman and sophomore years will be double courses so you will have four different classes - unless you overload.

If you are in the sciences, you will have labs in addition to classroom lectures which will, at times, feel like extra classes.

Your major department will have a suggested course of study for your eight semesters. Why not contact the department(s) in which you are interested for a view?

last year I had about 5 hours per day of homework / 7 days per week

i'm expecting 6 hours this year because my classes are harder

i'd say the average student probably does around 2 hours a night

eek! !
