I just found out about Course Notes.
Does it Course Notes Help at all with studying for quiz's and tests for AP Biology?
Also, I see they only have 7th edition, I might use 8th can't remember during open house, but will everything still be good to use for studying? Or do they have to update to 8th edition?
Just can't remember if we're using 7th or 8th Edition? Is there really a difference?
Same with APUSH does it help when studying quiz's and tests?

Depends on how in-depth your teachers are. My APUSH teacher’s tests were ridiculously difficult, so they were of no help to me.

I had APUSH last year and there were times where I had to cave in and use Course-Notes (although it was mainly for note-taking, but they lacked a lot of details). I didn’t find it too useful for studying for quizzes/tests. I think it’s best if you just want to get the general gist of a lesson, but I wouldn’t be so dependent on it. Use your textbook/notes, and pay attention in class and make sure you understand the concepts - you’ll be prepared.

However, if you hang out in the forums section – you might find something useful once in a while.

I don’t know about AP Biology…

I wouldn’t know yet since I start Tuesday. Hope the tests aren’t to brutal in AP Bio or U.S.

for AP bio, course-notes are extremely usefull.
after reading thru the campbell’s chapter in the book, i would read through the course-notes for that chapter. for the class, they’re very useful ^^
however, for the ap exam, course-notes are just TOO detailed. youre better of with cliffs ;D

I haven’t used Coursenotes for AP Bio yet, but I used it all last year for Honors U.S. History I (which is the first half of APUSH which is taken junior year). I would read the chapter in the textbook first and then read through coursenotes a few times. I did fairly well.

Just a question, are the AP Bio Editions really similar on coursenotes? My school still uses Campbell’s 6th edition and they only have coursenotes for 7th edition.

Starting APUSH tuesday! Haven’t started the summer essay for it either!

and I’m going to try and enjoy the last 2 days of my summer.

I might actually be using 8th edition, if I do does it difer much from 7th edition of Campbell’s for AP Bio? Since course notes has only 7th edition. I’m not sure which edition we are using, my teacher said at open house we are using a new and better workbook this year for the AP Bio students. Forgot to look what edition it was for :p.

i think that ap bio course notes are usefull only for the 7th edition (which is the AP edition anyway…)

I know, but is there much of a difference between 7th and 8th? Since I know I have either 7th or 8th, and I’d like to try out course notes for AP Bio even if I end up having 8th instead of 7th.

oh, i’m sorry, but i’ve never used/ seen the 8th, so i really dunno.
