course planning

is it possible to do the following...i never got a clear answer a month ago...

1) Biomedical Engineering
2) FOCUS
3) Being pre-med as well...
4) Possibly study abroad over the summer...if not during the year

Yes. BME and pre-med together are super common. Studying abroad is super easy for engineers (you might be more limited with the schools you can go to, though). And I know a bunch of engineers who did FOCUS. Of the 4, I'd say the most difficult is to do FOCUS, but it's definitely doable. The other 3 will not cause issues whatsoever.

If you're BME and Pre-Med, I wouldn't do FOCUS unless you have AP credit for Calc BC, Chem, and Physics.

Agreed with DukeRose4288, I have a friend who did the Engineering FOCUS and really enjoyed it. He had no problems with taking classes later on because he had credit for all of those classes.

now that i see that i can't really do focus....

how tough is bme/premed....like what is the workload like....how is life basically?

Sophomore year can be pretty bad...
Basically you'll be taking two pretty hard BME classes, organic chemistry, and differential equations. It can be hard to keep your GPA high enough for med school while taking these courses. I struggled a lot this year and I wasn't even taking orgo because I'm not pre-med. However I also have friends that somehow managed to do just fine. I think it has to do with how hard your high school was. High School was a breeze for me so I've struggled because I don't have good study habits.
