how come i can't find MAE 10 on the class planner?

ihavenolife, oops, you're right. i divided it into 4 earlier and got kinda mixed up.

On another note, does Chem6A fulfill a Prerequisite for a EE major, because I used the E-Advisor and I didnt want to take Chem this quarter and do a GE instead, and he just said to take it because my major recommended it.

gontello: http://www.ucsd.edu/catalog/curric/ECE.html (scroll down to electrical engineering)

looks like it's a requirement...just chem6a though. might as well take it to get it over with

I think I'll just take it next quarter. Thanks anyways. I don't really mind if I get behind the 4 year plan. I didn't really plan on finishing in 4 years anyways.

Postpone GE's till Junior and sophmore year. That's what my genius long term planning guide says...Woohoo!!!

I have the same problem as Oneday. The advising and enrollment tab doesn't work for me either. It wont let me click on it so I cant even see what classes I'm being recommended.

Does anyone else have this problem or did have this problem? How'd you guys go about fixing it?

is there any link for revelle students to see their counselor recs?

i doubt i'll get into muir 40, so my counselor recommended me taking a U.S Cultural Diversity course since that's mandatory. i was just wondering, how is the Critical Gender Studies? I'm debating between that and the HILD 7A course.

MCWP 40
PHSY 1A/AL
MATH 10C or 20C
Any GE
Freshman Seminar

Im probably going to take:
MCWP 40
PHYS 1A
MATH 20C
CGS 2A

I got a 5 on the AP Chemistry exam, so the counselor recommended me to take the Physics series. I am a Physiology and Neuroscience major, and I am going down the premed road.
Can you guys maybe explain why she recommended me to take a physics class instead of a bio or a higher division course? I got a 5 on the AP Bio exam (I didnt take AP physics in high school.)

THANK YOU

so i go to the virtual advising center, which directs me to the newstudent.ucsd.edu site, and under "counselor recommendations," the site states that "Your Academic Information will be reviewed by an academic counselor."

is this happening to anyone else, and is this the right way to access counselor recs.?

what makes the counselor recommend taking a freshmen seminar?

freshMAN seminar.

because if they don't promote it, nobody will take it.

i went to the virtual advising thing and i got this message:

The Virtual Advising Center Shows that you are an incoming student that has either not enrolled in courses or paid fees yet. You should use the UCSD Undergraduate College Orientation system http://newstudent.ucsd.edu to ask your questions to an advisor. You can do this through the E-advising section on the Enrollment tab. If you are unable to enter the Orientation System you should contact your Undergraduate College.

I'm confused, what am i supposed to do?

just click on the link. it should bring you to your college website. for me, im in muir, so it brought me to the site of my counselor recommendations page. from that, I clicked on a tab that says e-advising. thats where you can go ask questions, though they havent been on or available the last time i checked.

there shouldnt be a problem though. just look carefully.

^^ Thank you

i still get the statement that "you acadmeic information will be reviewed by a counselor." is this happening to anyone else?

anyone who submitted their academic info late get their recs yet?

mm for me, it was august 14th and that note still came up. I had to try again the next day for it to work.
