wow you have a terrible schedule...both semesters last year I only had class M-R starting at 12, and no friday class. Same this next semester.

cptoats: big lecture are generally not a problem. Even if you can't register onine, the prof usually lets you in if you talk to them.

i was able to schedule it using as many breaks in between as possible.. i have at least an hour for lunch everyday : ) ... but now im confused.. for chem, (im BE btw) we have to take CHEM 101 -LEC/REC and CHEM 053- LAB AND CHEM 053-LEC? i dont see the point of taking two chem lectures! according to pennintouch its a coreq with the lab? talk about redundant!

I know! I definitely agree bubble. Yea, I tried to give myself alot of breaks in between because I eat about 6 meals a day. Seriously. But the times that I have classes back to back, I think I'm just gonna bring a small snack in my bag and eat while walking. Then I'll stuff myself later in my break times.

Andy, I don't have it quite as bad as you cause I have from 12 to 4 straight on Friday. But then I also have 12 to 5 straight on Wednesday.. ugh.

So what elective did you guys choose to take first sem.?

i didnt know we could take electives ; max is 5.5 credits and i have 5 alreadyy from calc chem physics and intro be

max is 5.5? is that for seas? cuz for the college, the max we could take is 4.5.. =/

so is that all mean I should list up my courses like this:
1. writing seminar 1st choice; alt writign seminar 2nd choice
2. Math recitation; alt another Math recitation session
3. BE recitation; alt another BE recitation session
4. Chem recitation; alt another Chem recitation session
5. Biol recitation; alt another bio recitation session
6. Math lecture
7. Chem lecture
8. Biol lecture
9. BE lecture (well, i see there's only 1 lecture session for BE 100).

Aren't alternates for lectures really unnecessary?
Does putting courses in this order optimize my chances of getting in the sessions I want most?

bubbletoes: lab lec is when they tell you what you'll be doing in the lab. you've got to register for it, but lotsa ppl skip it. Regular lec is just for the class; has nothing to do with the lab. But yeah, it is kinda insane.

teahelps: i took an elective 2nd sem, and am taking 2 this sem (3rd sem). First sem, i took only intro classes, but since we had physics lab, it came up to 5.5 credits. I wouldn't worry, you can always do 5.5 2nd sem.

andy2009: yes, max for engg is 5.5, college is 4.5. After the 1st sem, if your gpa is above 3.3, you can get a permit to take 6 or 7.

Valecollegorian: your schedule looks perfect;)
