Hi Guys

I know that some colleges require 4 years of science, and I was a little confused by this. Do they mean literally 4 YEARS or 4 courses of science? I have 5 science courses in 3 years, and if I don't take another science course (only 1 other science course left, and it isn't that great of one. iStem anyone?) will I be automatically rejected by these colleges?

Freshman year: Physics Honors
Sophomore year: AP Physics B and AP Chem
Junior year: AP Bio and AP Enviro

Please help :)

Thank you!

I’m not the best person to give out this advice, but I’d assume if they REQUIRE 4 years, then it’s required. If they recommend 4 years then they probably really, really, really want to see 4 years.

Is it not possible for you to take an online course for science? Maybe Anatomy?

EDIT: Great job on taking all those AP sciences. I’ve only taken 4 and I’m a Junior and I really do loathe it.

The classes do not have to be taken over 4 years to meet the requirements. As long as your classes were a full year in length, they count as a year. You don’t need to take a science class next year since you already have 5 years worth.
