course retake for transfer ucla?

<p>currently im taking a course at Santa Monica College called Math 7, which is the equivalent of calculus 1... why? because i was in over my head
I am barely carrying my weight to achieve a D, but it IS a transferrable course but I am not aware if UCLA allows course retakes for transfer students, if so, I can just ask my professor to drop me with my D and save myself the pain of studying for a final and another exam. Regardless, I am confident that if I can retake it, I can at least earn a C now that I know the material and I wont slack off at the begging of the semester.</p>

<p>I took math 7 because i wanted to be an econ major, I changed my mind to now either take political science or history.. i want to be a lawyer just in case it matters...
can anyone help? dropping deadline is this nov. 16, and the W deadline passed weeks ago...</p>

<p>go see the xfer counselor at Santa Monica College on Monday and ask them what your best option is. Santa Monica College lists itself as the #1 CC for sending xfers to UCLA; they are experts in this. Do you really want to make this kind of decision based on anonymous info from the internet?</p>
