<p>How is GPA calculated? (I heard there was going to be a scale change coming...)</p>
<p>And if you failed a course, what are the policies of retaking it? Would they accept your new grade (and use that for GPA) or would they take the average of the two grades? Would this show up on the transcript?</p>

<p>There is going to be a change on the GPA scale but that does not take effect until the fall of 2009. The new scale will be 4.0 for an A or an A+, 3.67 for an A-, 3.33 for a B+, 3.0 for a B, 2.67 for a B- and so on. </p>
<p>I'm sorry, I don't know what the policies are for retaking courses and how that effects GPA.</p>
